NO CURRENT OPENINGS (please use contact form below to be placed on a waiting list): Private flute lessons can be given on a weekly or biweekly basis to anyone wishing to learn flute for the first time or improve their skills. Students may bring pieces they wish to learn for contests, juries or performances. Flute lessons are charged per lesson and are $30 for a 30-minute lesson. About

Vangie has a bachelor of art in music and a bachelor of music in music education from Friends University. She has more than fifteen years of playing experience and has performed with the Friends University Concert Band, the Wichita Wind Ensemble and the Senseney Music Community Band. Not only does she enjoy performing professionally, but she also takes her talent to her local church, West Side Church of the Nazarene.

Vangie also enjoys adding to her collection of flutes, which includes flutes from Belize and Nepal. Besides the flute, Vangie is also trained in the piccolo, bass flute, and upright bass, which she learned as a young child when her family played bluegrass.

Vangie currently teaches elementary music in Wichita, Kansas.
